Moroheiya – Super Food
The Japanese Government has analyzed a plant named Moroheiya (Corchorus Olitorius) and found it to be an abundant source of vitamins, minerals, carotenoids, and fiber. Moroheiya is particularly abundant in Vitamin A (Beta Carotene, Cryptoxanthin, and Retinol Activity Equivalents), Calcium, Copper, Manganese, Vitamins B (Thiamin), B2 (Riboflavin), B6 (Pyridoxin), B9 (Folate), and Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid). The Japanese use Moroheiya leaves in salads and noodle dishes. Eating the Moroheiya plant seeds, however, is not recommended.
